Nakajima B5N2 "Kate" - Hasegawa

I can't shake the feeling that Hasegawa puts more love into their IJN kits, and this Kate is no exception. The box is from 2001 and far superior in every respect to the much older Fujimi kit, which incomprehensibly is the only available alternative of this iconic aircraft to this date. The build was a pure joy in terms of fit, accuracy and details - the 3 crew members cockpit looks busy right out of the box, requiring no aftermarket. Hence, I only added the usual PE belts as well as a visor to the machine gun which I found in a spare box. Aside of the unit numbers and digits, no decals were used.

The model displays the famous plane of Mitsuo Fuchida, who was the commanding officer of the first attack wave on Pearl Harbour from aircraft carrier Akagi.
